NASCAR - Bristol

NASCAR - Bristol - Food City 500 After a 2 hour start delay, and a 3 hour rain delay just 125 laps in... it ended up being Sunday night racing this week... short track racing all night long. Tire wear took a toll on a number of drivers, Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt Jr.  to name a few... Jamie McMurray's night ended when Brad Keslowski hit him after a yellow flag was thrown and Keslowski couldn't whoa up quick enough.. Matt Kenseth had a fast car until Timmy Hill rammed the back of his car, to quote Matt Kenseth "Going 1000 miles an hour".. Matt did get back up to 13th, but dropped one position in the standings... Kevin Harvick got hit the hardest in the points losing 7 positions down to 21st,  when he hit the wall after smoking for a couple of laps, then catching fire leaving him to finishing 39th. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had the biggest leap, up 5 positions to 10th in the standings. Carl Edwards took the lead, using pit strategy and never looked back, controlling the restarts, and keeping teammate Stenhouse at bay, the rains came one more time with just 2 laps to go... giving him the win under yellow.

Even though Kevin Harvick is not in the top 16th, he will be in the Chase and Jamie would be out... Having a win and in the top 30 in points gives him a spot in the chase.
