NASCAR - Martinsville

NASCAR - Race 7 - Martinsville - I so enjoyed being at the race today!!! Will blog all about it tomorrow. Been a long day, Hitting the Sack.
Congratulations Jeff Gordon!!!

More tomorrow!!!!
What an awesome day we had at the race. We were in the pits during the entire race. We got to sit on Marcos Ambrose #9 pit box for most of the race. What an experience!!! You many not get to see the entire track, but being that close to the action on the track is the ultimate way to an experience a race. Seeing what the crew chiefs are looking at how they determine what to do and when. What happens before, during and after a pit stop up close and personal. We got to watch cars go though inspection, seen the different templates they use and the weighing and tire inspection.  I seen a few of the drivers and owners.  Shook hands with Marcos Ambrose (of course), Dale Earnhardt Jr., Carl Edwards, Mark Martin, Chad Knauss, Miss Sprint, Mrs. Newman and for you long time NASCAR followers I got to shake the hand of the one and only Chocolate!!! Also got to see Richard Petty, Maurice Petty, Mike Helton, Joe Gibbs and Jack Rousch. Attended the drivers meeting, followed by church. Had a photo session with the #9 car
and Marcos Ambrose and the Wayne Brothers Logo. Should get a signed picture in a few weeks.
Lots of bumping and banging during the race, just as Martinsville should be. Parts flapping in the wind, car looking like open wheeled cars, action all around the track.

NASCAR - Talladega

NASCAR - Talladega - Lots of good racing today!!! Only three cautions, the first at lap 2, the third on the white flag lap, freezing the field, giving Jamie McMurray his 2nd win at Talladega. Lots of green flag racing including green flag pit stops. Matt Kenseth, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. pretty much dominated through most of the race. Jamie McMurray taking over with 15 last left and never giving it back. Dale Earnhardt Jr. waited just a little to long to make his move to the front and Austin Dillion went for a wild ride after being tapped by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. rendering Jr. a second place finish. Matt had problems half way through the race, being loose and just could not make it back to the front, finishing 20th. Jimmie fell back after the last pit stops, finishing in 13th. All but one chaser finished in the top 20, Kasey Kahne, speeding on pit road finished 36th.

NASCAR - Charlotte

NASCAR - Charlotte Motor Speedway - Bank of America 500 - So happy to see Brad Keslowski in victory lane once again!!! Pretty good racing tonight... Love being at a track for a race, always a lot of fun.. thanx John S.!!! Passing and Pit strategy is what a race should be made of.. Hendricks car appeared to be dominate during most of the, with all but Dale Jr. (15) finishing in the top 10. All four cars lead at least once during the race., but Brad pulls through after a miscue on pit road and takes the top spot. Great green flag racing throughout the race... NASCAR - Kansas

NASCAR - Kansas - Hollywood Casino 400 - good racing, something we haven't seen in a while with NASCAR. It may look like Kevin Harvick dominated the race, with the pole, most laps lead and the win, but he had to fight his way back after being caught a lap down from making green flag pit stop. Between good pit strategy and hard driving the #29 driver made it back to the front and ran away.
There was racing everywhere around the track, good racing enjoyed all the different leaders, and the different pit strategies Kyle Busch and Ryan Newman to of the chasers that took hard hits today, both in the race and the points. Finishing 34th and 35th respectfully, Kyle lost 2 positions to 5th and Ryan dropped 5 positions to 11th, the biggest loser this week.
Congratulations Kevin Harvick!!!
