NASCAR - Dover - Monster Mile

NASCAR - Dover - AAA 400 - The Monster Mile wasn't much of a monster today... Only debris cautions. Dale Earnhardt Jr. had by far the fastest car out there. Pretty much knew Jimmie Johnson was going to be the winner and of course lead more than 190 laps, after all those records that are always talked about before and during the race must be broken. Personally I believe Rick Hendricks told Jr. to back off. You must listened to the boss. Jimmie's gotta get that record. I love NASCAR racing but really am starting to think races are fixed. Manipulating the outcome of the race, what a joke. Too many "coincidences" happening.
Congratulations Jimmie Johnson!!!

NASCAR - Friday the 13th

NASCAR - Friday the 13th - Lucky 13 - Jeff Gordon is the 13th driver in the Chase this year, because NASCAR decided to change the rules. Just goes to prove you whine enough about how you were cheated out of a spot, you get to be in the Chase. If Gordon's pit crew hadn't screwed up and failed to tighten the lugs, he wouldn't of had to pit for a loose wheel and would have finished higher and made the Chase.
There should be a place for the current champion in the Chase every year, no matter what he does during the year or where he finishes in the points. Being the Champion should come with special privileges.  So I think Brad Keslowski should be in it also!!!
YOU BLEW IT NASCAR!!! You either decide if Lagano was manipulating also and fine him 50 points and Gordon gets the 10th position or you decide it was inconclusive and Lagano gets the 10th position!!! No 13th position because, maybe sorta Jeff Gordon got cheated, he is in the top 10 or he isn't, black and white, night and day, how much more simple can it get.
But as always NASCAR, just invents the rules as they come up... Not what the fans want NASCAR!!!
(unless you are a Jeff Gordon fan of course)
NASCAR fans are passionate about their sport, but the rules are getting ridiculous, to the point you can't even keep up with them any more...
LET THEM RACE...........

NASCAR -

Alright NASCAR, Enough is enough!!! Now that you have decided to investigate Joey Lagano and David Gilliland for manipulating the outcome of the race, who's opinion are you going take this time.

Imagine that if you decide to penalized those teams Joey Lagano would be out of the Chase and I guess your golden Child, Jeff Gordon, will be in the Chase now. Guess he complained enough that he didn't make it and how all those people involved were so unsportsmanlike, that you can "Manipulated" the outcome of the points standing so Jeff Gordon could be in the Chase.

Tell me NASCAR who's opinion was it that what MWR did was detrimental to motorsports? Because it is after all just someone's opinion. NOT this fan's i think it was great team work. If helping a teammate make the Chase and not wreck any one is considered "Manipulating" the outcome of the race, then think about this....
1. Teammates should not be allowed to exchange information because it may help someone to winning a race
2. During pit stops everyone should be doing the same thing, after all if one team only takes gas that would put him out front and the team should considered "Manipulating" the out come of the race. Here's a thought,,, how bout NASCAR pick what should happen on each pit stop.
There is nothing wrong with teammates working together to get ahead of their competition. I think what MWR did made for a very exciting and interesting race. Outside of wrecking someone, strategy on the track isn't any different than strategy in the pits...

Enough said!!! Put Martin Truex Jr. back in the Chase!!!

NASCAR - MWR

I have an opinion! Imagine that!
I have been a loyal, passionate and sometime crazy NASCAR fan for more than 35 years. I have seen all kinds of racing and fines. I DO NOT agree with NASCAR on this one at all. It does not matter what MWR denies or agrees with, teammates had an opportunity to help another teammate make the "Chase" without crashing or hurting any other team on the track, what is detrimental about that.

No one can tell me or convince me that if Hendricks teammates or Stewart Haas teammates had the same opportunity they would not have taken it.

I think this should all be included in the strategy of the game. What was wrong with what Brian Vickers did to insure Martin Truex Jr. made the chase. After all being in the Chase is the only way to become Champion!!! If you don't want to see this ever again... take away the Chase and let them race just for points the way the system is now, all 36 races.
Jeff Gordon can complain all he wants, if his pit crew hadn't left a wheel loose, he would have finished higher... There are a lot of scenarios, what if this, what if that, etc, etc, when it comes down it for me... KUDOS MWR... I see nothing wrong with what went on in Saturday's race... Great teamwork!!!

Don't get me wrong readers, i am not a MWR fan... I am a NASCAR fan, a big Dale Earnhardt fan, and a Dale Jr. fan... I would be blogging this no matter what team or driver it involved..

WRONG NASCAR WRONG!!! Put everything back the way it was on Saturday Night...

Take Care all

NASCAR - Richmond

NASCAR - Richmond - Short track Saturday night racing... Richmond, the last race before the start of the chase is now riddled with the question... Did Clint Bowyer spin out intentionally to help his team Martin Truex Jr. make the Chase? Clint says no had a flat tire. When interviewed Dale Earnhardt Jr. says the spin out looked strange. The announcers each commented on the situation each believing that he probably did. Martin Truex Jr. edged out Ryan Newman for the final Chase Wild card position.
First of all Clint DID have a flat right front tire! So what is so strange about him spinning.
Second of all if he was going to spin out intentionally to secure Martin Truex's position in the field and chase, don't you think, maybe just maybe, he would have done it after they took the white flag so the field would be frozen and not take the chance that something could have happened to Truex on the restart!!! Tell me Rusty Wallace how do you intentionally get a flat tire?
Congratulations Carl Edwards!!! flip away!!!
Not an overly exciting race tonight!!! Basically watching the guys who had a chance to make the chase race their hearts out. Kurt Busch finishing 2nd secured the 10th place position in the Chase. Ryan Newman did about all he could do finishing 3rd, losing the tie breaker to Martin Truex, Jr. for the 2nd Wild card position. Jeff Gordon coming back from a loose wheel finished 8th missing the Chase by 1 point to Joey Lagano who finished 22nd. Kasey Kahne not having the best night finished 14th but with 2 wins took the first wild position. Brad Keslowski the defending champion finished 17th and failed to make the Chase...
