NASCAR - Daytona Coke Zero 400

NASCAR - Daytona Coke Zero 400 - Typical Daytona racing, edge of your seat, holding your breath, hoping no one makes a mistake. All in all good racing. A couple of crashes, drivers just losing it. Denny Hamlin was involved in a couple of the wrecks today, The second one resulting in a red flag. A big, right after taking the white flag, but NASCAR made the choice of letting them race back to the checkered, then another wreck happened as everyone scrambled to get that one more position.
Michael Waltrip raced one of his cars today, showing his restrictor place race abilities are still intact, starting 7th and finishing 5th.
Congratulations Jimmie Johnson!!! Dominating the entire race and being only the second driver to win both Daytona races in one year. Bobby Allison did it back in 1982. We have a joke going around in our house that NASCAR fixes the races. It seems when they talk about a record could be matched or broken it always happens. Just kinda weird. They said before the race today, that Johnson would be the first driver to win bother Daytona's races since 1982 if he won today and low and behold he did. He also won the 48th running of the Daytona 500.
